Thorbjörg’s Sexy Morning Smoothie

Thorbjörg presents a recipe for a delicious smoothie. It’s a wonderful way to start the day!

Serves 1


  • 1 cup soya, coconut or almond milk
  • 2-3 tbsp. cold-pressed extra virgin flaxseed oil or coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp. lecithin granulate (especially if you’re stressed or have trouble sleeping)
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • Tiny pinch of vanilla powder
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon zest
  • A squeeze of lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp. pure whey protein powder
  • ½ banana 
  • 100g frozen berries


Add all ingredients to an electric blender and blend until the consistency is similar to a milkshake, yogurt or soft ice cream. You can play around with the ingredients in this smoothie: orange zest and juice, fresh ginger, frozen banana, frozen mango, peanut butter, avocado, oat milk and pineapple are all ingredients I often substitute or add. The most important ingredients are the protein powder and the oil.
